Cancel, pause and refunds

How to stop spending, what happens to unused credits, the 30-day money-back guarantee, cancelling Enterprise and deleting your data.

There's nothing to cancel on credits

Ivy Link is prepaid. You buy credits, and agents and reports spend them. Credits are prepaid, with no contract and no monthly charge to cancel. If you have Enterprise or an older monthly plan, that is a subscription, and you cancel it as described below.

To stop paying, you do two things:

  1. Turn agents off on each site, so nothing spends your balance.
  2. Turn auto top-up off, so your card is never charged again.

After that, Ivy Link charges you nothing more. Only the account owner can do either.

Turn agents off

Agent work is what spends credits day to day. Reports are paid once, when you order one. Turning agents off stops agent spending on that site.

  1. Open Settings. If you have several sites, pick the site first from the Site menu.
  2. Under Agents, pick the Off card ("Nothing runs or spends. Reports still run.").
  3. Click Save.

The pill next to Agents changes to Off. Home shows "Budget: none, agents off".

Each site has its own plan, so repeat this for every site on your account.

On a site that's on Enterprise, the plan cards are locked. Click Turn agents off instead. Enterprise agent work isn't paid from your credits, so this doesn't change your spending. To stop paying for Enterprise, cancel it (see below).

Agents check the switch before they take on each job. A job they already took on when you turn agents off still finishes, and its cost comes from your balance. Nothing new starts after it. A report you've already ordered still runs.

To start again later, pick a plan and click Start agents. See Turn agents on and off.

Paused is not off

Agents also pause on their own when your balance can't cover the next job. Home shows the Agents paused pill and "Agents are paused until the balance covers the next job". Paused agents are still on: they start again by themselves as soon as you add credits. If you want them to stay stopped, turn them off.

Turn auto top-up off

If auto top-up is on, your saved card is charged whenever the balance falls below your threshold. Turn it off to make sure no more charges happen.

  1. Open Billing.
  2. In the Auto top-up card, switch it off. The state reads Off — save to apply.
  3. Click Save.

You see "Auto top-up is off" and "Your card won’t be charged automatically." The balance card now says Auto top-up off.

Your card stays saved with Stripe. To change it, use Replace card under Payment method. To update other billing details, click Edit billing details at the bottom of Billing.

What happens to unused credits

  • Unused credits stay on your account while it is active.
  • Turning agents off doesn't touch your balance. The credits are there when you turn agents on again.
  • Unused credits are not refunded, except under the 30-day money-back guarantee below or where the law requires it.

30-day money-back guarantee

If Ivy Link isn't right for you, you can get your first payment back in full.

  • Ask within 30 days of your first payment.
  • Ivy Link refunds that first payment in full and closes your account.
  • The guarantee applies once per customer.
  • Other payments, such as later credit purchases or auto top-ups, are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

How to ask

  1. Email hello@ivyl.ink from the address you signed up with.
  2. Say that you'd like a refund under the 30-day guarantee.

You can also reply to the welcome email you got when you signed up. There's no refund button in the app.

A refund under the guarantee closes your account. If you only want to stop spending for a while, turn agents off and auto top-up off instead. Your credits stay on the account.

Cancel Enterprise

Enterprise is a separate $1,000-a-month subscription for one site. It is not paid from credits, so you cancel it on its own. Only the account owner can.

  1. Switch to the site that's on Enterprise. From Billing, you can also click Switch to this site or Manage on its row under Enterprise.
  2. Open Settings and scroll to Enterprise.
  3. Click Cancel Enterprise. Stripe's cancel page opens.
  4. Confirm there. You return to Settings.

You see "Enterprise is cancelled. Its end date is below." The Billing line on the card changes to "Ends" with the end date, and Billing shows the same date on the site's row.

If Enterprise is set to end on a later date, it keeps running until then. The card says: "When it ends, your agents switch off and go back to your earlier plan, paid from your credits once you turn them on."

Change your mind

Before the end date, click Keep Enterprise on the same card. Stripe's page opens, where you can renew Enterprise so it carries on.

When Enterprise ends

  • The site goes back to the plan it had before Enterprise, with agents off.
  • You get an email titled "Enterprise has ended".
  • If Enterprise ended straight away, Settings shows "Enterprise has ended. Your agents are off and back on your earlier plan; turn them on when you’re ready."
  • Nothing spends your credits until you turn agents on again. Once you do, that site's work is paid from your credits.

If the card's Billing line reads Arranged with Ivy Link, there's no cancel button. Email hello@ivyl.ink to change or end it.

A payment didn't go through

If the pill reads Payment due, your agents keep running while Stripe tries your card again. Click Update card to keep Enterprise. If the payment never succeeds, Enterprise ends.

See Enterprise for more.

Delete your account or data

There's no button in the app to delete your account.

  • Personal information: email hello@ivyl.ink to ask Ivy Link to show, correct or delete it. Billing records are kept as long as the law requires.
  • Search Console data: disconnect on the Search Console page. That deletes the search data Ivy Link copied. See Search Console.
  • Closing the account within 30 days: a refund under the money-back guarantee closes the account.

Pages and changes already published on your site stay yours.

Older plans

Some older accounts have a monthly plan instead of credits. If your Billing page has a Plan section, click Cancel plan to open Stripe's cancel flow. You see "Your plan is canceled" and the plan stays active until its end date. Click Renew plan before then to undo it.
