Add and switch sites

Add another website to your account, switch between your sites, and see how one shared balance pays for each site's own plan.

One account, several sites

You can run Ivy Link on more than one website from the same account. Each site gets:

  • its own report
  • its own agents and its own plan (budget)
  • its own Home, Approvals, Site map, Settings and the rest of the app

What your sites share:

  • One balance. All your sites spend from the same prepaid credits.
  • One billing. Top-ups, auto top-up and receipts live on Billing for the whole account.

One site's work never uses another site's budget. Each plan paces only its own site.

Add a site

  1. Open the Site menu at the top of the left navigation and click Add a site. On a phone, tap Menu first. Or go straight to app.ivyl.ink/sites/new. The Site menu only appears once your account has a site, so if you see No site yet or Add a site first., use that address. Only the account owner can add a site. Anyone else sees Only the account owner can add a site.
  2. Under Site address, type the site, like example.com. You don't need https://.
  3. Click Add the site.
  4. The app switches to the new site and opens its onboarding. Work through the steps as you did for your first site. See Build your first report.
  5. In Step 3 of 4, Choose your report depth, pick how deep the new site's report goes. It is paid from your shared balance.
  6. Once the report is out, set the new site's plan in Settings to start its agents. See Turn agents on and off.

A new site's agents start off. They don't spend anything until you pick a plan for that site. This way a new site never starts spending at another site's pace.

Report depth and your balance

The report for a new site costs the same as any report:

Depth Price
Mini $10
Standard $60
Large $120

You pay only what the report actually uses, up to its price. When you reach the depth step, one depth is already picked: the deepest report your balance covers twice over, so at least half is left for your agents. If your balance doesn't cover Standard twice, Mini is picked. You can pick any depth. If your balance is low, add credits first. See Report depths and prices for what each depth includes.

If something goes wrong

What you see What it means What to do
Enter your site’s address, like example.com. The box was empty, or what you typed isn't a web address. Type the address with its domain ending, like example.com.
That site is already on your account. Choose it from the site menu. The site is already added. http:// and https://, a leading www. and a trailing slash don't make it a different site. Pick it from the Site menu instead.

Switch between sites

  1. Open the Site menu at the top of the left navigation. It shows the site you're looking at now.
  2. Click the site you want.

You stay on the same page, now showing the chosen site. For example, switching while on Approvals takes you to the other site's Approvals, and switching from Billing keeps you on Billing. If you switch from the Add a site page, you land on Home.

Everything in the app follows the site you picked: Home, the agents, Approvals, Site map, Settings and your reports. Billing is the same for every site.

You can also switch from Billing. If any of your sites are on Enterprise, the Enterprise list there shows each one. Click Switch to this site on a row to switch to it. You stay on Billing, now looking at that site. The site you're already looking at has Manage instead, which opens its Enterprise settings.

The Site menu appears once any of your sites has started its first report or skipped it. Before that, while you're still in Build your first report, there's nothing to switch between.

How budgets and balance work across sites

Each site has its own plan in Settings. Switch to a site first, then change its plan. With more than one site, the Settings page says so: Each of your sites has its own plan, and they share one balance.

Per site Shared by all sites
Plan (Seedling, Sprout, Climb, Canopy or Custom) Yes
Agents on or off Yes
Report and report depth Yes
Credit balance Yes
Auto top-up Yes
Spent this month on Billing Yes

Because the balance is shared, every site's agents draw from the same credits. When the balance can't cover the next job, agents pause and wait for credits. Home shows Agents paused on the site that's waiting. Add credits on Billing, or turn on auto top-up, and they start again. See Budgets and plans and Credits and auto top-up.

The Activity table on Billing lists each charge, like a site report or an agent job, so you can see what was spent.

Sites on Enterprise

Enterprise is a per-site plan: $1,000 a month for one site. Ivy Link pays for that site's agent work and reports, so it never uses your credits. Your credits stay for your other sites. You can mix Enterprise sites and credit-paid sites on one account. To start it, switch to the site and open Settings, then Enterprise. See Enterprise.

Change a site's address or remove a site

There's no setting in the app to change a site's address or remove a site from your account. If your site moved to a new domain, you can add the new address as another site, as above. It gets its own report and its own plan.

For help with a site that moved, or one you no longer use, email hello@ivyl.ink.
