Report depths and prices

Mini, Standard and Large reports: what each costs, how much it reads, which one we suggest, and how to go deeper later.

Every Ivy Link report comes in three depths: Mini, Standard and Large. You pick one in step 3 of onboarding, Choose your report depth. Your credits pay for it. One credit is one dollar.

Every depth runs every step of the report. Depth changes how much the report reads and writes, not what it does.

The three depths at a glance

Mini Standard Large
What it is A first-pass diagnosis Full-site research Deep research across your whole market
Price $10 (10 credits) $60 (60 credits) $120 (120 credits)
Pages read 50 400 1,000
PageSpeed tested 50 500 5,000
Competitors 1 6 10
Searches studied 150 1,000 2,500
Action prompts ~5 ~30 ~60
Priorities to approve 5 30 60
Data asset plan No No Yes

What the rows mean:

  • Pages read: pages of your site the report reads.
  • PageSpeed tested: pages tested with Google PageSpeed Insights. The report writes fix prompts for the biggest speed issues it finds.
  • Competitors: competitor sites the report studies.
  • Searches studied: searches the report looks at for your site and market.
  • Action prompts: about how many ready-to-use actions the report ends with. Each one has a prompt you can copy.
  • Priorities to approve: how many of the report's actions you can approve for your agents. See Report.
  • Data asset plan: Large reports also include a plan for a data asset.

These are the amounts each depth is set to cover. A small site or a small market may have less to read.

What you pay, and what you actually spend

The price is what your balance needs to cover before the report starts. The report then spends from your balance as it works, and it never uses more than its price.

Most reports use less than their price. What's left stays in your balance for your agents. Each depth card in onboarding shows this as About N credits left for agents.

There is no refund or credit back for a single report, because nothing extra was taken: you only pay for what the report uses. For the 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment, see Cancel and refund.

You see the report's spending on Billing, in Activity, as a Site report row. It also counts toward Spent this month.

A report spends from its own allowance, separate from your agents' budget.

When you're not charged

  • A report attempt that doesn't produce a report. If an attempt fails, is held or is cancelled without producing a report, you don't pay for it. You pay for a report, not for tries.
  • While a report is paused. If your report shows Paused, nothing more is charged while it's paused.
  • An older-format report. If your report was built in an older format the Report page can't show, Ivy Link rebuilds it for you at no charge.
  • On Enterprise. Reports on an Enterprise site show Paid by Ivy Link and never use your credits. See Enterprise.

The depth we suggest

When you reach Choose your report depth, one depth is already picked. It's the deepest report your balance covers twice over, so at least half your credits are left for your agents. If your balance doesn't cover Standard twice, we suggest Mini.

Your balance Suggested depth
Under 120 credits Mini
120 to 239 credits Standard
240 credits or more Large

You can pick any depth. The suggestion is only a starting point.

Paying for a depth your balance doesn't cover

You only pay the difference between the report's price and your balance, rounded up to whole dollars. What you pay becomes credits on your account.

Each depth card shows what it costs you:

  • Included / with your balance: your balance covers it. There's no charge.
  • +$N / N credits: you pay this much now.

Under the cards you see your balance, N credits in your balance, and a hint for the depth you picked, such as Standard: no charge. Your balance covers it. or Large: pay $40 now. Your balance covers the rest.

To choose and pay:

  1. Pick Mini, Standard or Large.
  2. If your balance covers it, press Next.
  3. If it doesn't, press Pay $N and continue.
    • With a saved card, a dialog opens. It shows The report (the price), Your balance covers and To pay now. Press Pay $N to charge your saved card, or Use a different card to pay on Stripe Checkout.
    • Without a saved card, you go straight to Stripe Checkout.
  4. While the payment lands, the button reads Waiting for your credits… and the page says Payment received. Your credits are being added, and this page carries on by itself.

If the payment doesn't go through, nothing is charged. You see one of these:

  • Your card was declined, so nothing was charged. Try again, or use a different card.
  • Stripe didn’t respond, so nothing was charged. Try again in a minute.

If you leave Stripe Checkout without paying, nothing is charged either.

For the full first-report walkthrough, see Build your first report.

Getting a deeper report later

Once your report is released, you can buy a deeper one. A Mini report can go to Standard or Large. A Standard report can go to Large. A Large report is already the deepest, so it has no upgrade.

What the Go deeper card shows

On the Report page, the Go deeper card sits under the headline. For each deeper depth it shows:

  • The depth's name and its price for you: +$N if you need to pay, or In your balance if your balance covers it.
  • Its pages, PageSpeed pages, competitors and searches, and a data asset plan for Large.
  • How many priorities it gives you, such as 30 priorities to approve.

Your balance must cover the deeper report's full price, and you pay only what it doesn't cover. Nothing is credited for your earlier report. For example, to go from Mini to Large your balance needs 120 credits.

Steps

  1. Open Report and find the Go deeper card.
  2. Press the button for the depth you want:
    • Start Standard report or Start Large report when your balance covers it. The report is queued right away.
    • Get Standard or Get Large when you need to pay. With a saved card, a payment dialog opens and says Your deeper report starts right away. Without one, you go to Stripe Checkout.
  3. After paying, you come back to the Report page. If the credits are still landing, it says Payment received. This page updates when your credits land.
  4. Once the credits are in, the deeper report starts and you see Your deeper report is queued. If it doesn't start on its own, you see Credits added. Start your deeper report from the Go deeper card above. Press Start Standard report or Start Large report.

If you leave Stripe Checkout without paying, you see Checkout canceled. Nothing was charged.

While the deeper report runs

  • Your earlier report stays readable. The page says, for example, Your Mini report stays available while this one is built. with a Read it link.
  • Work you already approved stays in your backlog.
  • Your agents keep working.

The deeper report runs again with the same site details you gave the first time. Once it's released, it gives you new priorities to approve.

If you can't go deeper yet

  • Your current report must be released first. Until then, the card shows This report with your current depth instead of Go deeper.
  • Your balance must cover the price. If it doesn't, you may see Your balance doesn’t cover that report yet. Add credits for it first. Use Get Standard or Get Large to pay the difference, or add credits first.

Enterprise sites

On an Enterprise site, every depth shows Paid by Ivy Link and there's no payment step. Large is picked for you, and you can choose any depth.

After a report is released, the card reads Run a new report instead of Go deeper. You can run a new report at any depth, at any time, with Run Mini report, Run Standard report or Run Large report. It reads your site again at the depth you pick, and your approved work stays. See Enterprise.

Skipping the report

You don't have to buy a report. In onboarding, choose Skip the report — start agents with a budget. No report is built or charged, and your agents start with the budget you pick. You can build a report any time. See Budgets.
