A tour of the dashboard

Where everything lives in the Ivy Link app: the menu, the site switcher, and what each page is for.

Your dashboard lives at app.ivyl.ink. Every signed-in page has the same menu down the left side. This page walks through that menu and then each page in it.

The menu

From top to bottom, the menu shows:

  1. The Ivy Link logo. It takes you to Home.
  2. The site switcher, once one of your sites has started or skipped its first report (see below).
  3. The page links, in this order:
Link Address What it's for
Home / What your agents are doing now, and what needs you
Report /report Your site report, live while it builds
Site map /sitemap Every page on your site, and what was found on each
Agents /agents Everything your agents did, as conversations
Approvals /approvals Ideas waiting for your OK
Results /results Your approved work, as pull requests or prompts
Settings /settings Your agents' budget, and how Ivy Link reaches your site
Billing /billing Your credits, auto top-up and card
  1. Your email address, with a Sign out button under it.

The link for the page you're on is highlighted. While you're setting up your first report, Report is highlighted.

If your site was set up before the current sign-up flow, your menu shows only Home and Billing, and Home shows an older overview. The same two links show while your account has no site yet.

Signing out

Choose Sign out under your email address. You go back to the Sign in page. To come back, sign in with a new emailed link. On a device where you don't sign out, you stay signed in for 30 days. See Sign up for how sign-in links work.

The site switcher

If you have more than one site, or you want to add one, use the switcher at the top of the menu. It appears once at least one of your sites has started its first report or skipped it. While you're still in Build your first report, it isn't shown.

  1. Open the switcher. It shows Site and the site you're looking at now.
  2. Choose another site from the list to switch to it. A dot marks the current one.
  3. Or choose Add a site to set up a new one.

Every page in the dashboard is about the site shown in the switcher. Switching changes all of them at once. Only the account owner can add a site. See Sites for more.

The menu on phones

On a narrow screen (a phone, or a window under about 900 pixels wide), the menu folds up at the top of the page.

  1. Tap Menu + to open it.
  2. Tap a link. The menu closes and the page opens.
  3. To close it without choosing, tap Menu again, or press Escape on a keyboard.

The pages

Home

Home is where you land once your first report has started, or once you've skipped it. The top line shows whether your agents are Agents on, Agents off or Agents paused, your budget with a Change budget link, and your credits left with a Top up link. On Enterprise it shows Canopy (Enterprise) and Paid by Ivy Link instead. Below that are four sections: Now (what's running), Needs you (the top things waiting on you), This week (what's scheduled) and Done lately. If Needs you says Nothing right now, there's nothing you have to do. Agents paused means your balance can't cover the next job; add credits to start them again. See Home.

Report

Report shows your site report. While it builds, you see its progress live: Waiting for a research slot, Building your report, Paused for a quick check or Opening your report. You can leave the page; we email you when the report is ready. Once it's out, the page shows the summary, the numbers and the actions to approve, with a link to Open the full written report. Before you've built a report, the Report link takes you to the setup steps. See Report and Your first report.

Site map

Site map lists every page on your site, by folder. Switch between All pages and Pages with something to fix. Each page shows a pill: how many things there are to fix, Nothing to fix, or Not tested yet. Open a page to see what your report and daily checks found on it, and what your agents are doing about it. Until your report is ready or a daily check has read your sitemap, the page tells you it will fill in later. See Site map.

Agents

Agents shows everything your agents did, as conversations. Pick Everyone for all their work, newest first, or pick one agent to see only theirs. Each agent shows what they're doing: Working now, Up next, Waiting, Paused, Will try again or Ready. Clicking a working agent under Now on Home opens their conversation here. See Agents and Meet the agents.

Approvals

Approvals holds the ideas your agents found, waiting for your OK. Each card says why the idea matters and what it's based on. Choose Approve to send it to Results, or Drop to have your agents leave it. Your report's actions are here too, under From your report, and dropped ideas stay under Dropped, where you can Approve them after all or Send back to wait again. See Approvals and Approve work.

Results

Results is your approved work. If GitHub is connected and Ivy Link may open pull requests, the work arrives as pull requests. When one is ready, you can Merge it here or review it on GitHub. Otherwise it arrives as prompts: choose Copy prompt, paste it into the tool you build your site with, then choose I made this change. The page groups work into Ready for you, Merging on its own, Being worked on and Done. See Results and Ship changes.

Settings

Settings has two tabs. Agents is where you turn your agents on or off and pick their budget. Connections is where you connect Search Console and GitHub and choose what Ivy Link may do on your site. See Settings, Turn agents on and Budgets.

Billing

Billing shows your credit balance. One credit is one dollar. Here you add credits, set up auto top-up, change your card, and see your activity. Billing works even before your account has a site. See Billing and Credits.

Pages that aren't in the menu

Three pages don't have a menu link. You reach them from links on other pages and in emails, or by typing the address.

Decisions

Decisions is one list of the choices that need your input, plus your recent site changes under Site changes. When nothing is waiting, it shows No decisions waiting. You get here from a weekly report email ("you'll find the details in Decisions") or from the ← Decisions link on a change preview, or go straight to app.ivyl.ink/decisions (it isn't in the sidebar). At the bottom, View all work goes to Results and Weekly reports goes to your weekly reports. See Decisions.

Weekly reports

Weekly reports lists one report for each completed week, with your search numbers, the work recorded and your data collection. Open one with Read report. Below the list, Email delivery sets how the reports are emailed to you. You get here from the Read weekly report button in the email, or from Weekly reports at the bottom of Decisions. Each report has an All weekly reports link back to the list. See Weekly reports.

Notes

Notes is a log of what your agents found on your site and what's worth doing next, newest first. Each section is one agent run. Daily checks entries cover the last 7 days. Follow View change to see a site change, or an idea link to approve it on Approvals. Notes shows the last 30 runs. For older notes, email hello@ivyl.ink. Open it by going to the address. On an older account's Home, the agent run names and Daily checks in the recent work list link here too. See Notes.

If a page doesn't load

  • Page not found means the address doesn't exist. Use the menu to get back.
  • Something went wrong is a problem on our side. Try again in a minute.
  • No site yet means your account doesn't have a site. Most pages need a site, so add one at app.ivyl.ink/sites/new. The Site menu doesn't show until you have a site, and only the account owner can add one. See Sites. If you're not the account owner or you're stuck, email hello@ivyl.ink.
  • If you're signed out, any dashboard page takes you to Sign in.

For more, see Troubleshooting.
